D*Con RETURNED!

So, I got home from DragonCon late last night, and just woke up (4pm). It's a good thing you can actually catch up on sleep!

And, for anyone who went, in case you're curious, the picture is of me in our hotel parking lot before heading into the Con.

And, It doesn't matter what I blog about, I *always* include an etsy plug! (and hey, I plugged etsy a LOT over the weekend, and just not my own shop, but etsy in general!)

Steampunk exploded all over the con this year! I believe the Steampunk Professor Xavier was the best, just because of the functionality of his chair, but still. Wow!

And while it's true with most styles of costumes, Steampunk, in particular, seems to be really all about the details and accessories!

And for that, I'm really digging Velvet Mechanism's steampunk chest harnesses. And while it's true, I normally do not go in for "faux leather" of any form or nature, the brown (pictured here, though black is available) doesn't look super "fakey" and it's hard to argue against it when this great piece of workmanship is only $55!

The rest of their etsy shop mostly revolves around great pieces of steampunk jewelry, though there are other exceptions, like their steampunk underbust corset. So, it's definitely worth the click to browse!
