Venting

Summer isn't exactly going as I had hoped, sorry to say. I know my updates have been few and far between, and I've had to completely stall out on my From Faerie line after its blockbuster sell-out at my first street fair. Currently, I'm unsure if I'll even get to do a second street fair this summer.

Thing is, as I mentioned in the description of my new "Magic Vial - Summer" (pictured), my garden is a bit out for the summer. I won't go into the details of exactly what has happened, but I can't use my garden, I can't have people over in my garden, I can't cook out on my grill in my garden, I can't replant my garden, I can't even go outside and lay on the concrete in the sun in my garden. My landlord is 100% responsible for this, and was told a month ago of the issue and said she would take care of it, but as of yet has not fixed the issue and I'm getting mighty p-o-ed.

It's summer. I want my garden. I want to cook out. I want to play in plants and dig in dirt and have fresh herbs and veggies. I want to have people over to sit around my garden, grilling and drinking and playing games. I want to lay out on a quiet day in the shade in my garden and just enjoy it. And right now I can't do *ANY* of that.

Because, you know, I needed yet ANOTHER kick in the ass after the spring I had.

I'm searching "mint" on etsy, because I have none; and I miss it. I tried to replant before I was aware of the "issue" but the "issue" keeps eating/destroying the mint every time I plant it. . . . so I have no mint. -_-

Wildroot must have plenty, however, to make these lovely sounding Hydrosols! Now, I wasn't exactly familiar with the term "Hydrosol" so I have quoted their definition straight from the pictured listing:

"WHAT ARE HYDROSOLS? Unlike water with essential oil added, hydrosols are made by distilling the whole plant and contain not only a small percentage of essential oils, but many of the water soluble components of the herbs, such as the natural alcohols, weak acids and tannins. They are more true to the essence of the plant and a more complete representation of it. They contain the same medicinal properties as the essential oils, but not as concentrated, so it can be used in more applications."

If mint or hydrosols either one doesn't sound like your person choice, there's plenty else at Wildroot Botanicals to browse through. A wide variety of not only other herbal hydrosols, but other products like straight essential oils, skin care, and even teas and chocolates.

I sure hope your issue gets worked out soon! If I couldn't get dirt under my fingernails at least once a day, I think I'd fall into a deep drama-queen depression. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Renee :)
